ANOHTER LISTED PLACING FOR BELLE
Tough racemare Dubai Belle again showed just how tough and honest she is when placing second in the 2014 Listed Wanganui Cup. After settling second behind the pacemaker (and eventual winner Just the Tip) she fought very strong to the line to holf off the rest of the field on a track that wasnt really to her liking. Winner of 9 races including the Grp 3 Metric Mile, Dubai Belle has scanned positive to Nom De Jeu and will look to run the the Manawatu Cup prelude on the 13th December with possibly the Cup the following week to be her swan song.
VICTORY FOR FRESH UP FIGHTER CLASS
Lightly tried Spartacus gelding Fighter Class was impressive with his fresh up victory over on the 4th of November at Otaki with rider Buddy Lammas aboard.
Having returned from Hong Kong late last year he had a spell then a short prep which included two runs and then spelled again to help adjust back to New Zealand life and style of racing. He has come back this prep a happy horse and really focussed. He had a few jumpouts and trials under his belt to fitten him for the assignment of a mile fresh up and he proved way to strong after Buddy set the pace to lead and fought hard up the straight and went away from them to claim his second raceday victory. There is definatly more in store for this honest gelding who will start next up on the first day of the Awapuni Christmas carnival.
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR ACQUISTO
Thewayyouare 3yo filly Acquisto impressed all when flying home to claim black type at only her third start in the Listed Wanganui Guineas. Ridden by Jonathan Parkes she got shuffled back at the start and angled off the rail at the home straight made a huge run down the outside for a gallant 3rd. She is an exciting Spring prospect and will be prepared towards to oaks in 2015.
TOUGH WIN FOR LORD C
Volksraad gelding Lord Casanova (pictured here with cheer squad!) displayed a raw toughness when winning his last start with Danielle Johnston aboard. Jumping well to lead the field he was headed half way up the straight and fought back to claim his second win in only 7 starts. The lighted tried four year old looks to have an exciting spring ahead.
4 GRADUATES WIN WITHIN A WEEK
Mangatiti Bloodstock Ready to Run Graduates have been having a super run of late, with four of them winning within a week, three of which have won their lat 2 starts in a row. Every year we have a small ready to run draft and it is great to see these young horses go on and perform and we always follow them. Congratulations to the connections and keep those winners coming!

LORD TURBO SOLD TO HONG KONG INTERESTS
Exciting 3yo Lord Turbo (Perfectly Ready x Sitting On A Hill) has been purchased by Hong Kong interests after his 3 wins (including the Listed Wanagnui Guineas) and unlucky 4ths in both Grp2's, Hawkes Bay and Wellington Guineas. He will do his further racing in Hong Kong under trainer Ricky Yui and we wish the new connections all the best and are certain he will kick many more goals in the coming seasons ahead.ORMOND ROAD SOLD TO SOUTH ISLAND
Stakes placed and 7 time winning mare Ormond Road has been sold to do her further racing in the South Island and will now be trained by Kevin and Pam Hughes. Lord Turbo has impressed again by taking out the 2013 Listed Wanganui Guineas over 1340m on the 7th September 2013. Again with regular rider Rosie Myers aboard, he hit the front early into the home straight and did it the hard way, but he dug deep to hold off the challenge by the tote favourite Burnt Orange and was impressive at the line. He will now look to the Hawkes Bay and Wellington Guineas.
LORD TURBO MAKES IT 2 FROM 2
Exciting 3yo Lord Turbo continued his winning roll with jockey Rosie Myers when they won at Hawkes Bay in a 3yo 1200m Hcp, this being only his second start. Although it was only a small field he put them away nicely running away from them at the finish. His next start will be in the Listed Wanganui Guineas on the 7th September.
